1940s Embroidered Peasant Top - small
Super lovely 1940s peasant blouse done in cream rayon with yellow, red, and black embroidery. I love finding earlier peasant blouses and the rayon used here instead of cotton makes this one pretty special. The neckline and sleeve cuffs are gathered with drawstring ties so you can adjust to your liking, with slight puff sleeves, and darting at the waist for a slightly more fitted shape. This older style was originally meant to be tucked into a skirt or trousers which is why it’s slimmer below the waist. Unlined with no closures.
Materials: Rayon
Condition: Great vintage condition! There are a couple of small orange marks of dye transfer near the right armpit as well as a small stitch repair there (please see photo). Largely not visible when worn due to the location but priced accordingly.
